Boating in Barcelona?

This week marks the beginning of Barcelona’s boat show, which is due to take place in Gran Vía and Port Vell, starting tomorrow, the 8th of November and running until the 16th of November. This show will see the participation of shipyards, as well as electronics, pneumatics, motors and accessories companies. The presentations and exhibitions will take place in the Gran Vía exhibition site, whilst in Port Vell you will have the opportunity to check out the actual boats.
19 countries will be represented during this show. Various exhibitions will take place, such as that of German Painter Oliver Kornblum, who captures the beauty of nature and the aesthetics of boats and yachts. There will also be an exhibition, presented by the Maritime Museum of Barcelona of the Catalonian coastline, which enables you to contemplate its coastline, the work and way of life of the coastal villages from the end of the 19th century up until 1960.

Esta semana se celebrará la inauguración del salón náutico de Barcelona, que tendrá lugar en la Gran Vía y el Port Vell desde mañana día 8 hasta el 16 de noviembre. En este salón participarán astilleros, y empresas electrónicas, neumáticas, de motores y de accesorios. Las presentaciones y exposiciones se celebrarán en el recinto de Gran Vía, y en el Port Vell habrá la oportunidad de ver los barcos.
19 países estarán representados durante el salón. Se podrán visitar varias exposiciones, como la del pintor alemán Oliver Kornblum. Este pintor capta la belleza de la naturaleza y la estética de los barcos y yates. También habrá una presentación por parte del Museo marítimo de Barcelona de la costa catalana, con imágenes que permitirán contemplar su costa, su trabajo y la vida de los pueblos costeros del fin del XIX siglo al 1960.
