If you are looking for something cool and original to entertain the kids, then they are sure to love the “Sesame Street Show”, which began yesterday in the Teatro Tívoli.  The show, which runs until the 18^th of January, is one of the most anticipated of the year.

 

The story goes that when Grover loses his super powers, Sesame Street is left without a hero.  However, Big Bird, Bert, Elmo, Ernie and the rest of the team are determined to work together to help restore Grover with his super powers.  Through various songs and dances, the team at Sesame Street also teach you healthy habits with regard to exercise, hygiene and nutrition.

Si está buscando algo divertido y original  para entretener a los niños, estarán encantados de ver el “Show de Barrio Sésamo”, que empezó ayer en el Teatro Tívoli.  El espectáculo, que tiene lugar hasta el 18 de enero, es uno de los más anticipados del año. 

 

La historia cuenta que cuando Súper coco pierde sus poderes extraordinarios, el Barrio Sésamo se queda sin héroe.  Sin embargo, la Gallina Caponata, Blas, Elmo, Epi y el resto del equipo están dispuestos a trabajar juntos y ayudar a súper coco a recuperar sus poderes extraordinarios. A través de varias canciones y bailes el equipo en el Barrio Sésamo también les enseña hábitos saludables en relación al deporte, la higiene y la nutrición.

Disney’s High School Musical: On Ice!

Today Barcelona offers an event that will be greeted with delight by many kids as “Disney’s High School Musical: the Ice Tour” arrives in Palau Sant Jordi in the area of Montjuic in Barcelona.  This venue is one of the most well-known in Barcelona as it was built especially for the 1992 Olympic Games in the city.  Many concerts, shows and sports events are held in this arena as it can hold more than 24,000 people.

Hoy Barcelona ofrece un evento que va a encantar a los niños: el “Disney’s High School Musical: la gira sobre hielo” llega al Palau de Sant Jordi.  Este recinto es uno de los más conocidos de Barcelona porque fue construido especialmente para los Juegos Olímpicos de 1992 en la ciudad.  Muchos conciertos, espectáculos y eventos deportivos se celebran en este sitio, ya que tiene un aforo de 24,000 personas.

 

Este famoso “Ice Tour” estará en cartel hasta el 30 de noviembre. Family Holiday in Barcelona?

Travelling to Barcelona with the kids and are unsure what to do? Well, don’t worry; you will soon see that Barcelona has lots of things to do for adults, children and teenagers. 

 

In the centre of Barcelona you will find various places, which both children and teenagers alike, are sure to love.  L’Aquarium is an example of such a place.  This aquarium is open all week long and offers various activities such as Weekend Guided Tours, where all the family can learn how fish eat, live and defend themselves.  It is located beside Port Vell, at the end of Las Ramblas, right in the centre of Barcelona.

 

The Barcelona Zoo, located near the Parc Ciutadella is also open seven days a week.  Here, you can enjoy being close to the animals as you either walk, take the train or pony (only available on weekends or bank holidays) around the grounds.

 

Tibidabo is an amusement park and viewing point, which is located on the highest point of the city.  Make a day of it here as you delight in the breathtaking views of Barcelona, as you enjoy the amusement park, or as you savour that hot cup of coffee or warm meal in one of the various restaurants located here.  If you are worried about the kids running wild in a restaurant, fear not, as you will also find a picnic area here.

 

If you are travelling outside of Barcelona, then Port Aventura is also a good option.  Whether you are going here either for a day trip or longer, this amusement park is sure to be a hit with all the family.  It offers amusement rides, shows, shops, as well as a selection of restaurants, providing something for everyone.  You can either opt to stay in one of the hotel resorts here or you could also travel to one of the nearby cities, such as Tarragona, Salou or Cambrils, for example.

Viajando a Barcelona con los niños y ¿no sabe exactamente que hacer?  ¡No se preocupe!  Pronto verá que Barcelona tiene multitud de actividades que ofrecer tanto a los adultos, como a los niños y adolescentes.

 

En el centro de Barcelona encontrará varios sitios que gustarán seguro a todos los miembros de la familia. L’aquarium es un ejemplo.  Está abierto todos los días y ofrece varias actividades como Visitas guiadas de fin de semana, para que toda la familia pueda aprender como comen, viven y se defienden los peces.  Está ubicado al lado de Port Vell, al final de las Ramblas de Barcelona.

 

El Zoo de Barcelona, ubicado cerca del Parque de la Ciutadella también se encuentra abierto durante toda la semana.  Aquí se puede disfrutar de estar cerca de los animales mientras van andando, toman el tren o el pony (sólo está disponible los fines de semana y los festivos) por el recinto.

 

Tibidabo es un parque de atracciones que está ubicado en uno de los puntos más elevados de Barcelona, donde también hay un mirador.  Aquí se puede pasar el día entero, disfrutando tanto de las vistas maravillosas de Barcelona, como del parque de atracciones y los distintos restaurantes de la zona. Es interesante saber que también disponen de un área de picnic.

 

Si desea realizar actividades fuera de Barcelona, Port Aventura también puede ser una buena opción.  Ya sea solamente por un día o por más tiempo (el complejo dispone de hoteles para alojarse), seguramente toda la familia estará encantada con este sitio.  Ofrece atracciones, espectáculos, tiendas, y una selección de restaurantes, donde seguro que todos encontrarán su plato favorito.
